We are delighted that work is well underway for the new state-of-the-art entertainment and leisure centre at Dundonald International Ice Bowl.
The first sod was cut on Friday 1 November 2024. Pictured below is the Mayor of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council, joined by a range of stakeholders to cut the first sod, highlighting the significance of this project for the local council area, greater Belfast and for Northern Ireland.
Dundonald International Ice Bowl will remain open for business throughout the construction phase.
The building project is expected to take two years to complete. When it opens in 2027, the new Dundonald International Ice Bowl will bring to life a wide range of facilities, including a 24-lane bowling alley, a 100-station gym, community rooms, a restaurant and a coffee shop.
During this exciting project, it will be necessary to make some changes to traffic flow and pedestrian access to ensure the safety of all.
From Saturday 14th December, and for the weekends throughout Christmas and the New Year, there will be reduced car parking available on site. An overflow car park is in place with a pedestrian walk way. A one-way system is also in operation at Dundonald International Ice Bowl, as pictured below.
We advise customers to leave an extra 20 minutes when coming to the centre to allow time to park and walk to the centre.
